EQ Blogger on NPR’s Talk of the Nation

September 18th, 2009 | By Mike Downey

Yesterday I was interviewed on NPR’s Talk of the Nation (TOTN). The program was “Social Media Crashes the Courtroom,” and dealt with problems courts and lawyers are facing now that lawyers, jurors, parties and others are sharing their court-room experiences on-line.

The transcript and audio are available at http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=112926570&sc=emaf.

I had a great time, and thought the program — and my co-presenter, Nebraska Judge Gary Randall — was very interesting. It was also fun to see first-hand how a master like Neal Conan handles the good, the bad, and the ugly of a call-in program.

The segment was named a “Best of the Week” by TOTN.

And no, I don’t think I committed any violations of Rules 3.6 or 8.2 in placing this post . . . .

P.S. Thanks to April at TOTN for a great job in coordinating my participation, including complications from my travels across the state for a court hearing.
